Handheld Data Entry Terminal used to Program the Various Sentex Telephone Entry Units with Ribbon Cable
The original keypad was made with silver painted membrane contacts. ButtonWorx™ is made with carbon conductive material.
The silver paint wears out over time, age and use. When the paint flakes off (and it will), the buttons may be hard to press, not work at all or the conductive paint may get stuck on the circuit board and short out a button.
ButtonWorx™ carbon material never wears out. It cannot crack or peel. Pieces will never break off. It can even be attacked with sand paper and still work where paint would just disintegrate.
Our ButtonWorx™ SENTEX compatible keypad is made with a water and UV resistant top coating.
