MX-950  Membrane Keypad Repair Kit

This remote has an upgraded mylar film snap dome layer. This is an improvement over the MX-900 that used regular rubber keypad with conductive pads. The snap domes last longer but are not indestructible.  Bose made a similar upgrade in newer remotes but I still sell a lot of repair pads for the snap dome model. 

Rubber keypads with conductive pads wear out and ooze oil. The snap domes are conductive carbon paint on a plastic dome. The snap dome layer blocks oils and most dirt / contaminates but the paint can wear off over time. A membrane keypad installed between the snap dome and circuit board will repair the contacts and my membrane keypads use conductive film, not rubber or paint. They do not wear out or chip off over time.
